Helping Our Community Grow: North London Toyota Supports Northridge Public School’s Playground Restoration

This spring, we received a special request from Northridge Public School. Their Kindergarten Playground, once a lively space full of shade and laughter, changed significantly after a major expansion in 2010. Grass was replaced with tarmac resulting in the loss of five precious 50-year-old shade trees and as a result, students had limited access to natural spaces and little shade to enjoy during outdoor play.

The school wanted to bring new life to the area creating a welcoming, enriching outdoor space for their students.

Being just five minutes down the road, we knew this was a project we wanted to be part of. At North London Toyota, supporting our local community, especially spaces that inspire young minds is something we care deeply about.

We’re proud to share that the first major phase of the Northridge Playground Restoration Project is now complete! The new play hill and equipment are up, and it’s already being enjoyed not only by Northridge students but by local families from across the neighborhood.

But the transformation doesn’t stop there. The next phase will focus on enhancing the outdoor learning space with new trees, shade, and seating stations. These additions will give students a place to relax, learn, and explore beyond the classroom, a space where imagination and nature meet.

We’re so proud to have contributed to this meaningful project and can’t wait to see the final vision come to life. Supporting the next generation starts right here in our own community, and we’re grateful to have been part of helping Northridge Public School’s playground grow again.
